Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Spotlight ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Spotlight is a global chat room that randomly selects one user every 60 seconds to send a message visible to all participants. The App is provided "as is" and may change or be discontinued at any time.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to use the App to:

Post, send, or transmit any content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers, including through automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.).
Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

We reserve the right to moderate content submitted through the App using automated tools (including OpenAI's Moderation API). Messages flagged as harmful will be removed and may result in penalties to your account.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the message content you submit. By submitting a message, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content through the App.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spotlight and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App. The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, without prior notice. You may stop using the App at any time.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

8. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
